Privacy policy
What this site stores, for how long, and what it never sees.
01No account, no profile
There is no sign-up, so there is no account, no password, and no profile to breach. We never ask for your Instagram credentials and could not use them if you offered.
02What is logged
The web server keeps ordinary access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for a short period, for abuse prevention and debugging. Searches are rate-limited per connection, which requires reading the requesting IP; that counter lives in memory and is discarded within a minute.
03What is cached
A successful lookup is cached on our server for a short window so that repeated requests for the same handle do not hit Instagram again. The cache holds public profile data and story media URLs. It is keyed by handle, not by visitor, and it contains nothing that identifies who searched.
04Media proxying
Story images and video are fetched by our server and passed to your browser. Instagram's servers see our request, not yours: your IP address is never exposed to Meta by using this site. That is the main privacy reason the proxy exists.
05Third parties
There are no advertising networks, no trackers, and no analytics scripts loaded from other domains on the result page. The site's own Content-Security-Policy blocks third-party scripts outright.
06Your rights
Because we hold no account data, there is generally nothing to export or delete. If you believe we hold something relating to you, write to us and say so.
